| I am presently a full-time music professor at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey where I direct the music business program and the jazz ensemble and teach classes in music business, music appreciation, music history, vocal workshop, jazz history and music theory. In my classes, I am able to apply my professional experience as a songwriter and performer to keep the students aware of current issues and technology in the music business. Education I am committed to using my background in ethnomusicology and performance to encourage greater musical participation and active listening in the academic and non-academic communities. I am now collaborating with Friends of Nepal in New Jersey for present cultural performances and music documentation. In addition, I have presented educational musical programs at schools, libraries and museums. |
